HordOGo

HordOGo provides integration between the OpenGroupware groupware server and the Horde application suite; HordOGo is a consumer of the zOGI API. Currently the HordOGo is hosted in the zOGI repository as an incubator; see the "Bindings/PHP/HordOGo" folder. Status of the HordOGo project is tracked on the zOGI wiki page for HordOGo.

TurbOGo & HordOGo

In October 2006 I wrote a simple Turba driver that used POGI to provide an OpenGroupware address source to the Horde application suite. I'm now working on HordOGo which will provide real integration with Horde. Hopefully HordOGo will eventually be accepted into the Horde trunk and bring OpenGroupware support on equal footing with Kolab.

Ext.ogo

Ext.ogo is a project to develope a Javascript wrapper around the zOGI to make it easier to use OpenGroupware from within the Ext JS framework. Ext JS is an impressive platform for developing highly interactive web applications with a high degree of browser independence. The intention of Ext.ogo is to build JSON support into the zOGI PHP wrapper and a simple Javascript object.

2007-02-21 - Currently the project is only in the planning stages but some basic testing has been performed and it seems possible to accomplish this goal in the fairly near term.

Horde project leader mentions GroupDAV

Jan Schneider mentions support for WebDAV, CalDAV, and GroupDAV in her blog, here. GroupDAV support in Horde adds thousands, if nor more, compatible servers to the world. Also interesting is the mention of DIMP an AJAX-ified version of IMP. Great news for the Horde and GroupDAV projects.

POGI 0.2.1

POGI 0.2.1 has been released. You can download it here or here. The OGoManager superclass now provides a setPermission method for modifying the ACLs on objects. A working getShortId() method has also been added to the OGoTeam object.

POGI 0.2.0 has been released. It can be downloaded here or here. This release cleans up a number of issues related to dealing with tasks, creating and updating tasks should now work reliably. And tasks can be rejected and reactivated (making a reactivation comment places the task back in the created state). Also timezone and daylight savings time issues have been reworks; POGI is now aware of the "Energy Protection Act of 2005" which changes the start and end of daylight savings time starting in 2007. It is now possible to check if a person or enterprise object can be modified by the current user.

Directory Enabled Horde: Part III

Now that we can log into Horde (authenticated against the IMAP server), read our mail, and store our preferences in the DSA; what about sending mail? In this short episode we'll setup Horde to send mail via authenticated SMTP. Authenticating as the user who is sending the mail is critical in a corporate enviroment for auditing and security purposes.
